Elegant fingers moved rapidly over the key board, green eyes flashed as she heard the steady tap of designer shoes that probably costed the salary of a teenage employee at Mcdonald’s.

When the scent of masculinity combined with Australian beaches and chocolate hit her nose her left hand shot out to the raise up the clip board covered with post it notes while her right hand kept going.

“Your son called, two of your clients left messages about needing to speak with you, and the Boss Woman needs to see you in her office, pronto.”

“Jessica,” Came a smooth voice and she finally stopped long enough to look up at the handsome, blue eyed man, who smiled and said, “That’s all nice and dandy but did you-” He stopped talking when she turned in her chair and handed over his coffee. Getting to her feet, she cocked her head to the side, “Get your coffee? Yes. Did I get your dry cleaners? No. But your associate did.”

Elias beamed and kissed the middle of her forehead, “You’re a saint.”

“Yes, yes, now go speak to the Boss Lady, I believe she wanted to reprimand you for throwing Terry out.”

“I could have thrown him out the window.”

“True, and I would have helped,” Jessica dropped back to her seat, grinning, “But you look terrible in orange.”

-tosses back his head and laughs, placing a hand on his brow and sweeping back his hair.- The lady is a sharp one! The most thrill I get comes from tackling the big bad guy before he can do anymore bad. -grins at her.- It matters not who the culprit is, as long as he is the right one to nab. The thrill is in the catch, madame, and not the hunt—same in all things, I’d imagine. But forgive me, I ramble! What is it you instruct? |]

(via louismidou-tar)

-just smiles with an arch of her brow before she nods and leans back- Well I suppose that could be considered the truth. I still find the hunt to be particularly tantalizing. Having to figure everything out, connecting the dots…like an equation…-she inclined her head- I teach Advanced Mathematics in the Atlantic House of Lumeria.

Have you seen the school at all? -squints- Does your investigation lead you there?

(via jessicarabbit-tar)

-smiles and inclines his head- The lady asks the astutely correct questions. Professor, I am indeed at the school—the university, in fact, albeit not in your House. My investigation has steered me in the direction of both establishments—though I won’t be steered into your classroom, I’m afraid. -winks- I would only fall asleep. No offense. Where you find logic in numbers, I find only sleepiness, I fear. My logic does not work in such numerical ways.

Mmm. Not everyone’s minds work the same. I understand that you would not be inclined to take my class…it is a shame though, I have a feeling you would be fun to have around.

I may have to keep an eye out either way…just to get a bit of an extra viewing on what it is you’re up to.

(via jessicarabbit-tar)

…well let me know if you ever want a private viewing.

I kid, of course, professor. I will only treat you with respect, same as any student.

And perhaps, if you will have me, I may yet venture into your class come Fall.

(via louismidou-tar)

-just smiles and shakes her head-

We will have to see about that.

-inclines her head- If you ever decide to pop in, you are free to do so. I have guest students from time to time, I usually lose them somewhere between the fifteenth formula but it is always nice to have new faces in the class room.

My students are particularly inquisitive but they would treat you well.

-chuckles- Inspector, actually, please, Professor. If you would be so kind.

(via louismidou-tar)

Inspector?

That’s new…I never knew Camelot would need such things.

And just what are you looking in to?

(via jessicarabbit-tar)

I fear it is not Camelot that needs me, but I will remain for as long as this case allows nonetheless. My card. -produces it between gloved fingers and offers it to Jessica.- If you so need me.

And I’m afraid it’s confidential, mademsoille. -smiles apologetically.-

(via louismidou-tar)

-takes it with a flourish of pale, elegant fingers and eyes the text before looking up with a slow smile-

Ah. I see.

Detective cases and the like always did fascinate me.

(via jessicarabbit-tar)

-beams back at her and chuckles.- I assure you, professor—most of them are notoriously boring. I spend most of my time waiting and researching. It’s thrilling, really.

(via louismidou-tar)

Oh so you mean to say you never catch a thrill from finding some dark, dirty secret or catching the culprit that you knew was the main guy all along? -beams- Or perhaps I am to believe that you find nothing exciting about being proven wrong every now and then about just who the suspect was in the end?
